My blog exists to help women embrace the “art” of biblical homemaking with virtuously feminine elegance. Are you curious about the reason I say “art” of biblical homemaking? Well, let’s take a look at the definition of the word “art”. As some of you may know, words express meaning and it is very important to choose our words carefully since there can be positive or negative outcomes from the words we decide on.
According to Merriam-Webster, here is the definition of the word art.
Definition of art
1: skill acquired by experience, study, or observation
2a: a branch of learning:
3: an occupation requiring knowledge or skill
4a: the conscious use of skill and creative imagination especially in the production of aesthetic objects b(1): FINE ARTS(2): one of the fine arts(3): one of the graphic arts
5a archaic: a skillful plan b: the quality or state of being artful
6: decorative or illustrative elements in printed matter
There are also elements to art and they are; Art as representation. Art as expression. Art as a form. I will go into detail below and then I will break down the five things I want to help my audience with.
Art as representation – How we as women represent Abba Yah in our daily lives.
Art as expression – The way we dress and speak should express the lifestyle that we live.
Art as a form – this encompasses multiple layers such as the atmosphere of home, self-care & physical appearance, a standard or expectation (looking well to the ways of our homes), the visual appearance of our homes, and documents to help us keep it all together.
So far, I have given you the why behind the reason I say homemaking has an art to it. Now, I would like to share with you the 5 things I want to help YOU (the Virtuous Woman) at home with.
My blog exists to instruct the virtuous woman at home with the knowledge you need to embrace the art of homemaking.
My blog exists to help prepare & provide visuals, guides, printables, & daily to-dos on how to create an atmosphere that is inviting to your home.
My blog exists to help recommend only the best resources to help you on your journey.
My blog exists to help teach the virtuous woman at home how to embrace your feminine elegance while being the heart of your home.
My blog exists to write weekly blog posts to help keep you encouraged on your virtuous woman at home journey.
Now, I am going to go into each one of these topics with a few specific details.
1. Instruct the virtuous woman at home with the knowledge they need to embrace the art of homemaking.
Proverbs 14:1 says, “The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her hands.” I want to show you how I came to embrace (and accept) the art of homemaking or what I like to call the virtuous woman at home. Also, instruct you on how to embrace the high and noble calling of being a virtuous woman at home with feminine elegance…and expressing joy in doing it.
2. Provide visuals, guides, printables, & daily to-dos on how to create an atmosphere that is inviting to your home.
There will be printables to help you in keeping your home organized, visuals of home decor ideas and inspiration, how I decorate my home for feast days we celebrate, and weekly Shabbats. Overall, how creating a relaxing, cozy, inviting, and minimalist home atmosphere will help give you joy with being home.
3. Recommend only the best resources to help you on your journey.
As a wife, mother, and homeschool mom, there are some resources that I use and love that help me manage my home. There are apps I use to help keep me organized and there are products that I use daily to keep me on a routine. Look for my recommendations and resources as a monthly blog post, how I use it, and how it is helping me as a virtuous woman at home.
4. Help teach the virtuous woman at home how to embrace their feminine elegance while being the heart of their home.
Being a wife and mother of seven children I had always thought to myself: “I never want to lose my feminine appeal, no matter how many children I have, I would prefer to always keep a little something for me, as a woman who loves beauty.” Whether it is a new handbag, a new outfit, a new shade of lipstick, or a nice facial or pedicure…do something for yourself every so often to embrace your own personal feminine appeal without sacrificing virtue. In my virtuous and glamorous beauty and style segments, I will show you how I manage to keep my personal style simple, feminine, elegant, & chic with modest flair! I will also talk to you about how I manage to have a little mom”me” time and create a mini “home spa oasis” for yourself each month frugally and on a budget. In that, I will explain also how it helped me to overcome anxiety and depression.
5. Write weekly blog posts to help keep you encouraged on your virtuous woman at home journey.
You can stay in touch with me here on my blog where I share posts on keeping you encouraged on this journey. Let’s face it, we all need a support system to get through these days and we sure cannot do it alone. It is best to have an outlet in keeping us encouraged along the way. My desire is to be that go-to person to help keep you motivated. I want to be as authentic as I possibly can in sharing even my ups and downs as well.
Conclusion
In conclusion, this blog exists to help bring back (better yet take back) the love of being a virtuous woman at home with virtuously feminine elegance. So ladies, let’s take a stand together and express just how full of joy we can be and doing it in style! Shalom!
