Welcome! I am Mystiqua and this is my blog! I am a “forty-something” year old daughter to Yah Most High, wife to Andre, the LOVE of my life, mother to 7 arrows, homemaker, and homeschooler. I love to be creative while decorating my home and our family’s celebrations.

The Virtuous Home is a homemaking & lifestyle blog where I write about embracing the art of biblical homemaking while doing it with virtuously feminine elegance. I hope to encourage stay at home moms to embrace womanhood (biblically) while maintaining a lifestyle of it. With an undeniable love for being a wife, mom, keeper of the home, & homeschooling…this blog was created to showcase just that. We are a Messianic Hebrew family that strives to live a set-apart lifestyle and loves Yah with ALL of our heart, soul, and mind and we would love to have you join us here.
THE HOMEMAKER
Mystiqua is the wife and help-meet to her amazing husband Andre’. She is the mother of their 7 beautiful children, each one adding daily to her joy. Mystiqua is the founder of The Virtuous Home which is a blog dedicated to homemaking, homeschooling (especially in the African American community), and encouraging and building women in their roles as godly wives, mothers, and keepers of the home. All while keeping their own personal feminine style and beauty. I seek to please Yah (Most High God / Elohim) in everything I do as I pray to have my lifestyle reflect that of the Father’s will. I am on a mission to getting my home in order (SPIRITUALLY & PHYSICALLY)! I hope you enjoy some of the tips I share with you what I am doing and using to get it together! Join me for a few naturally based cleaning recipes to use throughout your own homes and a few printables that you may use for yourself personally. My ultimate goal is a MEGA Home Management Binder, fully customized with ALL the things I need to keep a nice, serene, and tidy home. Join me as I find “homemaking peace”.
THE MARRIAGE
Join me as I talk about keeping a godly marriage and a few things I do to keep our marriage strong. Marriage is an important and honoring union to the most High Yah and I will sometimes reflect on just how far we have come and hopefully encourage you within yours.
FEMININE ELEGANCE & MOTHERHOOD
Being a wife and mother of seven children I had always thought to myself: “I never want to lose my feminine appeal, no matter how many children I have, I would prefer to always keep a little something for me, as a woman who loves beauty.” Whether it is a new handbag, a new outfit, a new shade of lipstick, or a nice facial or pedicure…do something for yourself every so often to embrace your own personal feminine appeal without sacrificing virtue. In my virtuous and glamorous beauty and style segments, I will show you how I manage to keep my personal style simple, feminine, elegant, & chic with modest flair! I will also talk to you about how I manage to have a little mom”me” time and create a mini “home spa oasis” for yourself each month frugally and on a budget. In that, I will explain also how it helped me to overcome anxiety and depression. Being a mother of seven children (5 at home), things can get a bit busy around our home. Join me as I take you on a journey of how I manage, tips for staying sane, fun times we have, and product reviews of some of my favorite products.
HOMESCHOOLING
In my 9 years of homeschooling, I am finally coming to a place where I can say that I am finally finding my groove! I absolutely LOVE homeschooling my children and hope to share with you a few tips and trades that work for my LARGE family of 5 homeschooled children. With that, expect a few reviews of my favorite curriculum, free homeschool resources, websites, blogs and much more! Along with a peak inside our daily homeschool life!
